Junior Wordpress Developer/ Project Lead

We have an exciting full-time opportunity for a Junior WordPress Developer / Project Lead working 90%-100% remotely and in our Victor, NY office.

Reporting to the Director of Web Development in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment, the successful candidate will apply their web development expertise to the development, troubleshooting, and upkeep of WordPress websites for our small to medium-sized business clients.

The successful candidate will work with both the account management and development teams and be able to provide insight as needed to team members who do not specialize in Web development. This position requires a proactive, collaborative team member with a good eye for design and a sense of humor. Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.

Required Skills:

• Solid understanding of WordPress
• Experience with Theme builders such as Divi Builder, Elementor, or Fusion Builder
• Proficient in HTML & CSS
• Knowledge of WooCommerce
• Knowledge of WordPress backend file structure
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel / Google Sheets
• Basic graphic design and layout skills/web optimization
• Self-motivated and organized with the ability to work collaboratively with minimal supervision
• Ability to work on multiple tasks under time restraints
• Ability to problem solve and a quick learner
• Must be able to function effectively in a busy, team oriented environment
• Must possess essential customer service philosophies, where proactive project management and strong verbal and written communications skills are required.
• Responds in a timely manner to issues, concerns, or requests
• Demonstrates consistent logic, rationality, and objectivity in decision making
• Exhibits conscientiousness, dedication, self-discipline, and a sense of responsibility.

Desired Skills:

• Teaching basic skills to others
• Experience with Divi theme
• Some experience in server-side programming (E.g., PHP)
• Some experience with WordPress template/theme modifications
• Some experience in Front-end programming (E.g., JavaScript)
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite, or comparable programs
• Experience with other CMS and E-Commerce platforms
• Experience with Asana or other task management software
• Understanding of Google Analytics, Hootsuite, and SEMRush
• Proficient in MS Office / Google Suite
• Some experience in Database administration and/or programming (E.g., MySQL, MS Access)
