Salary: £35k - 75k per year + large training budget
“We want to build a unicorn.”
That’s what the CTO of a market-leading MarTech company said when I asked what his department's goal was.
Then I met the CEO and understood in 15 minutes why they should be so ambitious, he built the company from nothing in 2009 to the 450+ employee business they are now, and he just has something about him that screams, if anyone can, he can.
They have multiple roles with three product brands you could potentially join, but why should you want to?
Reason 1 – They operate like a start-up, but with the support of a successful business so you’d have the ‘anything’s possible’ excitement, without the worry of what happens if it doesn’t work out.
Reason 2 – They’re working on complex problems and new categories of marketing technology, like delivering personalised web experiences within 100 milliseconds or building a prediction engine that tracks user behaviour to convert browsers to buyers and harnessing stupidly large amounts of data points, to help clients like Just Eat, Barclays and FedEx make better decisions, resulting in higher conversions.
Reason 4 – Their journey to becoming a best-in-class software engineering company, you’ll have so many opportunities to contribute ideas and build great products, not just pick a ticket and code.
Reason 5 – You can work from anywhere in the UK, at their cool office space in Portsmouth or a mix of the two. It’s more important to do good work than where you do it.
